This hat can be knit on any machine with lace patterning capabilities and a ribber or garter carriage. Gauge: 7 sts and 10 rows = 1".

Knit comfortable hats that fit using only tension changes and techniques built into your machine. Fine wool, or any other animal fiber that felts, can be used. Fairisle socks in the Latvian tradition with a fancy cuff These are not knit in circular and have no ribbing. Short row heel and toe and sewn side seam. Standard gauge.

There are no seams in the foot because the foot is knit in tubular below the heel for easy turning and knitting. A ribber is required.
